Our Journey,
Rooted Here.

We're Jamie and Courtney Wood. We've raised our three kids in the Grand Valley, built businesses side-by-side, and learned the hard way what it takes to keep going when everything changes.

28
years married & building together

the farm leap, the crash, the rebuild
The Story

Six Chapters. One Mission.

Every community-changing idea starts long before the launch. Here's ours.

CH 4
Palisade, CO — The Rebuild
The Forge
  • Jamie became Farm + Farm Store Manager at Blaine's Farm Store
  • Courtney helped build farm systems and infrastructure
  • We saw the same friction every week: farmers working hard, families wanting local food, and the path between them far too complicated

CH 5
The Vision
The Call
  • The Grand Valley needed a centralized online market and a physical food hub
  • Free to join for farmers, ranchers, and local makers focused on feeding and nurturing community
  • Food should move farm → hub → front door with less friction

CH 6
FarmersMarket.store — Live
The Build
  • We built FarmersMarket.store to keep more food dollars local
  • A marketplace and distribution system designed for the Grand Valley
  • Local farms and makers, one homegrown platform

Chapter 2 · Deep Dive

The Leap

Loma taught us what it means to bet on a dream. It also taught us what it costs when a market disappears overnight.

That collapse became the turning point — the moment that pushed us to build something stronger and more lasting for our community.

Chapter 4 · Deep Dive

The Forge

Palisade showed us the daily struggle behind “local food.” Great farms. Great products. And a system that too often makes it hard to survive.

  • Farmers need fair access to customers
  • Families need a simple way to shop local
  • Distribution needs to be practical and consistent

The Team

Our Ally: Raul Sandrea

Turning a vision into working software takes grit. Raul Sandrea is our lead developer, building and shipping features as fast as the work piles up. Big shout-out to Raul — we couldn’t do this without him.
